The P&F is involved in fundraising, cultural and community activities, working bees, catering for functions and general support of the school, the children, the parents and staff. They also organise The Children’s Festival every year - a major event widely acclaimed. Fundraising provides funds for parent education, library books, play equipment and additional education items. As a social group, they help to bring parents and friends of our school together and to extend a welcoming hand to the general community.
The P&F is financially independent of the school, but works closely with the management and teachers to provide a strong, caring environment for our children to learn and grow. All parents are encouraged to participate in study groups and community education funded and organised by the P&F throughout the year.
The Association is open to any member of the community who wishes to uphold the Association’s objects. Becoming a parent at Noosa Pengari does not mean automatic membership of the Association. Membership bestows voting rights at Annual General Meetings and any Extraordinary General Meetings that are held. Please contact the school office for more information about joining our Association.
Parent Ed provide education and information to parents within the school community (and the wider community) on topics that support parents in their endeavours. This in turn supports the teaching staff since “the more we know, the more we can meet the needs of the child” and a greater harmony can prevail between school and home life. People are usually very happy to have a cuppa and a chat or ask questions after the talk.
A group of parents and community members meet each week to study the works of Rudolf Steiner. The study group is facilitated by one of our teachers and is open to all members of the school community.
Every Wednesday morning after drop-off, craft group meets outside the school Hall. Parents and children are warmly welcome to attend regardless of your crafting expertise. The group make beautiful natural craft toys, dolls, wall hangings, seasonal items, objects for the Treasure House and items for the Festival Lucky Dip. It’s a great chance to meet new people, make new friends and nourish your soul with the surrounds, conversation and joy at making something for your loved ones.
The School's Facebook page is regularly updated with what is happening at school.
